After graduating with a political science degree, you can choose to start working immediately in the field, rather than going on to get a graduate-level education or even a doctorate. Entry-level positions are found in government departments, nonprofit organizations, law firms, media companies, and more. Political science analysts jobs are, of course, highly sought-after positions, but typically, you’ll work in a lower-level position first before being entrusted to give commentary or advice on the topic. Keep in mind that you can also find political science jobs in industries that might not at first seem related to political science, as the government and law affects every type of business. You could get a job working at a hospital as a grant writer, managing an international restaurant chain, consulting for an insurance company, and more.
